A very beautiful large signed oil on board by the Danish born painter who became naturalsied in Fracne after his birth. he was a pupil of Diogene Maillart and worked around Martigues and in Paris. He exhibited at the major Paris Salons and was elected a full member in 1909. His work is well collected.
Sophus Theobald Levinsen was a pupil of Diogène Maillart. He worked mainly in the region around Martigues and also in Paris. He exhibited at the Salon de la Société des Artistes Français, of which he became a member in 1909.
